I'm planning to buy Volkswagen polo. I wanted to know the maintenance cost and will it be economical?

As per the sales person I met in the showroom the service intervals on 1.2 l petrol version is 15000km or 1 year.
The first service bill is around 6000/- the 2nd service will cost you 12000/ and the next again 6000/-.
You can also opt for a AMC controct for 3 yrs at the time of purchase on 1.2 l petrol variant for around 20,000/- Rs.

Hope this would help

I would suggest you to go for Punto which is better than Polo interms of Style (ofcourse subjective), ride, handling, high speed cruise etc. I am using a punto diesel EP which covered 8000Kms in 4 months. We have a POLO diesel in my family which covered 4500Kms/7 months. Already we spent around 4000/- for POLO and a big ZERO for punto (even though I changed the rear view mirror they did it for free). For POLO we faced lot of electrical problems, I think niggling issues are common with VW but really its a headache and the labour cost is sky high. So Please keep VW or Fabia away from your list. In addition, at high speeds, you wont get that confidence in POLO which PUNTO gives. All in all I suggest you PUNTO. Thanks
