Cars Q&A

Dear all, Its been four times that i have given my new Pulsar 220 DTS-i bought on 15th july 2010 for the same problem but the guys at the service center could not rectify it. It is not running smooth and after 15-16 kms it jerks very badly and then refuses to start. What should i do? Should i move to the consumer court or can you please provide me the contact details of senior officials of Bajaj,Pune?

Get the mixture setting done at the dealer. It is their practice to set the mixture at lean in order to increase the average but it leads to complication as in your case. Also ensure that there is no water in the fuel tank. Finally fill up the tank and add a good quality injector cleaner.

Hi. Advise you to fill your petrol tank to full level using Speed 97. Also try using Motul 15W50 engine oil. Better to go to a local mechanic who will tune your carb.

one of my friend had a same problem with platina. in case of water in tank, the service station could easily detect it (water in filter). moreover it seems impossible to run bike for more than 15 km with water in petrol tank. engine oil doesn't matter. solution of platina was simply changed the CDI n spark plug as they get off when engine is hot. mechanism of dtsi is different. consult an expert mechanic at service station. mere complain to seniors will not solve your problem.
