Cars Q&A

Question
What is the real time mileage of new Hyundai i10 1.2 kappa2 VTVT or Verna transform 1.6 VTVT cars. Can we retrofit CNG in i10 1.2 VTVT or Verna 1.6 VTVT if yes then which CNG is actually successful closed loop or sequential with BS4 norms so that car will run perfectly on cng as well as on petrol without any engine wear & tear. Is accent executive retrofitted CNG better than i10 1.2 kappa2 vtvt with cng installed from outside or please confirm which one is reliable and actually successfull. Looking forward for quick response in this regard

Hi,
Fitting CNG kit to i10 or Verna wont be a good decision. Please check the review below for more details in deciding about the same.

Hi !

I have been driving a Hyundai Accent Executive with a Company fitted LPG Kit for the last 15 months. I have found the drive marginally less powerful than petrol. However, the difference is discernable only on steep climbs with full load. I would suggest that you seek the advise of a reputed LPG kit fitting Garage for getting a 1st hand view for retrofitting of Verna/i10 kappa.

You can go ahead and fit a CNG kit in any of the cars that you have shortlisted.CNG today is as good a fuel and in fact better than petrol in many ways.
1.It is cheaper
2.It gives you much better mileage
3.Their is absolutely no extra maintainance whatsoever with CNG
4.Their is no foul smell at all
5.With new and advanced tech like lamda sensor and timing advancer their is no drop in performance
6.You are contributing towards the cleaning of the environment.
All this I tell you from experience as I have driven my palio on cng for 160,000 kms and trust me I did not have even a single problem as far as the CNG kit was concerned

While all the cars you mentioned are good, the only thing I would recommend is that you get your cng kit fitted from the dealer himself so that you don't lose out on your warranty.
