Cars Q&A

Question
I need an advice from you, what is the mileage given by Gm's Spark model, i own a car model no Spark May 2009 and i am very upset by its performance in terms of mileage, i own other small car as well like Alto and i am satisfy with the performance. When ever i lodge a complain against my spark to there Gurgaon office they routed the complain through their dealer where my car get serviced, i.e Shiva motors Ghaziabad. They found that my car was giving mileage to 14.4 km/ltr through full tank test in the early morning where there wasn't enough traffic on roads, they say it as city mileage and if you go for long distance it will surely give you till 17km/ltr atleast, where i clearly denied that i am getting good mileage in city conditions with my other car. I am highly upset, plz tell me should i go for consumer court.

Hi,
Compared to Aalto the build quality of Sparkis better also the overall power to weight ratio does matter for fuel efficiency. The mileage you are getting is good. However to get even better mileage, recommended to reduce the losses of fuel such as in traffic conditions etc. Going to consumer court wont help much.

the spark comes with 1000cc engine and alto with 800cc
so there should be difference in terms of mileage.

in case you are getting 14kmpl in city, its very ideal and same i get with my zen on city roads.

there is no use of launching a complaint as it will be a headache to you with no result.

just follow simple techniques to increase your car's mileage on roads.

spark is very good car and i think best for city use now these days, with smnall size and 1.0l engine and 3 years
maintenance free.
