Cars Q&A

i am excited by the space and interiors of tata vista. my usage will be about 20-40 km per day and 200-300 km long drive once or twice a month. my budget is 4-4.5 lak. comparing vista terra Tdi(diesel) and terra saffire(petrol), which is better? if petrol, is it good to go for vista saffire BS3 (apx 4.2lak on road) comparing maruti(in 4.2 lak like wagonr, a star etc) as the space is too good in vista. *how the performance of PETROL VERSION OF VISTA compared to other petrol cars like of maruti considering the space and the size. (i prefer more space) what the major differance between BS3 and BS4? because the diference is 15000. PLEASE CLARIFY ALL THE POINTS CLEARLY AS IT IS THE FIRST CAR OF MINE. PLEASE HELP ME. THANKING YOU

Expert`s comment:

Considering th usage mentioned and budget range.Indica Vista Safire would be better choice. In selection between BS III and BS IV version. The significance is for emission standard only and hence wont affect performance. However when selling the car, the money saved while purchasing BS III car would have to be compromised with selling price. This is due to sense of belonging to latest version or earlier. Hence it would be advisable to go for BS IV version.
Compared to Wagon R,Vista has better build quality and can with stand higher impacts. Mileage is less by 2 KMPL or so compared with wagon R due to tougher build quality.
