Although this conversion may be possible, I would suggest that you sell your Mahindra and buy a Toyota Qualis instead. This will save you a big headackhe. We owned Mahindra jeep, with Inter Engine, ones upon a time, way long back, was in good condition, (just start the said jeep & go for long drive without any worry.) Papa installed power-full Nissan Engine along with overdrive gear box to inhance its performance, but it happened so bad that jeep has to be repaired approx every 3 days in a week, ultimately the said jeep has to be disposed, on the other hand my Brother-in-law in Punjab has installed small Nissan Engine in Maruti Esteem & the performance of the car was great, it was as good as the new Deisel seden launch these days. According to me it depands on the availabilty of spares & very expert individual who knows how to deal or install such kind of Engines. I told what I experanced, now its up to U to deside.
