Cars Q&A
Requirement: Small city car for a Hyderabad family of two.
Distance covered per day: 35 kms on weekdays, 40 kms on Sundays
I've checked out the i10 & Figo, though they are on the higher side. Was also considering the Beat (though initial budgetary calculations said, go for the Spark).
Q1: Should I go for a diesel, considering my distances?
Q2: Everyone who says Figo is nice, is speaking of the Diesel. How is the Petrol? Is an i10's significantly better?
Q3: Chevy is easier to own and maintain for 3 years. Would they be costlier to maintain after that, than the Figo? Will I get a decent resale value for the small Chevys after the free maintenance period is over?
Q4: I don't want to buy this month, because of the depreciation. If I book in January (when I think the next set of discounts will be), what should I do to ensure I get a 'manufactured in 2011' car?
Q5: If I miss the Pongal (sankranti) discount time, when is the next in 2011, discount season comes again?
Thanking you so much,

Hi,
Maintenaining Beat after warranty period wont be problem for its good performance and reliability. Also in the present scenario 3 years is quite a large time for owning a new car as chances of selling t and going for upgradtion is always there.
