be assured, close your eyes and go for Fiat Grande Punto...it'll look and feel new even after 5 yrs of usage. The way its high tech suspension is tuned up, you'll hardly ever feel a pothole!

Resale value /maintenance cost issue is all gimmick, both I20 and Grande Punto are new, in fact Punto spare cost are cheaper....several car makers including maruti suzuki is buying engines from Fiat!

Be careful about i20 - do not go for 1.2 L version - you will find the engine low on power considering the size and weight of vehicle - with A/C on you will find it very difficult to accelerate. If you decide to go for 1.4L version - test drive it with A/c on and check the power.

Punto - good in looks, economy; sturdy with good suspension; after sales service is a big question mark.

Polo - polished, reliable european technology, premium segment vehicle. Go for it if you have a dealer wokshop nearby (though in next 10-12 months VW is sure expand its dealer network).

Grande Punto is always better than i-20 n Shiva n Kapil r right

THE I20 IS UNQUESTIONABLE PUNTO IS VERY POOR IN AFTER SALES SERVICE,POLO IS ABSOLUTELY NEW WITH NO SERVICE NETWORK.MY I20 IS CONSISTENT AND HAVE DONE 20K KMS WITH NO FAULT ABSOLUTELY.

go for i20 asta diesel,best option wich u can blindly.it has got power, performance, looks,driving comfort,resale,gud n class interiors etc. compared to anyother vehicle in its segment. i recomend u to go for i 20.

Now i think for about an Year, Fiet is tied up with Tata & all Fiet cars are being sold & serviced by Tata Motors as Authorized dealer.

Fiet is getting most of the imprtant spares from Abrod only. Also Tata Indica,Swift engines are supplied by fiet. When Fiet can provide best engines to their competitors, then y will not they fix it in their own car?

Overall if u think Strong build quality, reliabilty & design wise Fiet Grand Punto is the best car.

I suggest u to go with the new arrived 90BHP diesel version & that too u get it in the month of Jan-2011 as 2010 is almost finished.

By the time u can enquire personally with the owners of the cars u have short listed, so that u can make a firm dicision.
