  • hi devika.you did'nt mention your budget.if its petrol you want, then its the santro,in case of diesel, the new indica vista.
Answer by Munaf Patel on Sep 23, 2008

  • Devika, keeping Fuel, service, and maintaince into consideration an ideal small car would be santro/Wagan R. Both are tall, which gives u a good driving pleasure/comfrt. Low on maintaince, very fuel efficiant, and above all they have proven track record. Moreover u might get attracted to newly launched cars but remember a car is only considered stable only after complition of 5 successful years. Hope that helps. Cheers.

  • Expert Hi,
Alto , Santro and Indica are the few to consider .Alto is having best resale value and fuel economy.
Answer by Shiva Shankar on Sep 23, 2008

  • hi only maruti product like alto & zen estilo because milege is very good and maintence cheap resale value very high u confirm any one who is drving these product or dear when u purchase mithai jaroor khilana bye
Answer by Sanjeevguleria on Oct 7, 2008

  • if it is petrol you gofor maruti 800
Answer by Sudhanshu on Oct 7, 2008

  • Alto, Wagon R & Zen Estillo are good City cars
but if U wish to go on Highways to say Poona, Kolhapur, Belgaum and beyond these vehicles are not the right cars to buy. These cars are light and U feel like U are thrown sideways by a passing vehicle at high speed. Tata Indica XETA
GLG model is a good car, but milage is a problem. Not much is on the net about the new Vista.... but Chevrolet spark I am told is a good vehicle and whats more there is a 3 year warranty given by the Manufacturer + it gives a milage of 15 km/ltr in the City & around 20 km/ltr on highways. Santro Xing & I10 too are good vehicles.

Answer by Shashi on Sep 23, 2008

  • Hi Devika take a look at the Chevrolet Spark it is a great car to drive and for a small car looks good too. Now the company is offering free servicing and warranty for three years. So it is value for money.
Answer by Samraat on Sep 24, 2008

  • go for wagonr duo...best car in the segment
Answer by Dipanshu on Sep 24, 2008

  • according to me swift is the best in small car segment. if you have any problem with the shape of swift then you go for hyundai i-10
Answer by Deep on Sep 25, 2008

  • if you are driving in city than it's maruti alto or 800, if upcountry and highway run are more than it's only TATA indica deisel model.
Answer by Dr Nuruddin Kachwala on Sep 25, 2008

  • I think for petrol the ALTO is best option, or u can choose wagon r or swift but if u want best fuel efficiency in less price u can go for alto and also maruti cars can be easily serviced any where and the spares are easily available any where because of large maruti service center and dealers network
Answer by Ameya on Sep 25, 2008

  • its nice to see so many replies to the query.but again devika, you have to mention your budget to help us reccomend a car for you.
Answer by Munaf Patel on Sep 25, 2008

  • Devika u shud also say something . Have u arrived any decision yet? If u have only white money to spend on a small car take a white M-800 or Alto vx. Rest of the small cars are just adding to burden on Indian roads. Santro's parts are expensive and not available everywhere. CHEVY IS NOT TESTED ON INDIAN TERRAIN YET & TELL ME WHEN U LAST SAW AN INDICA without dents? Wagon -R is sturdy ,but not fuel efficient like 800 & Alto.
