Wagon R, as you have mentioned Resale Value, fuel efficiency would be decent on both and you need to worry less since both are from Maruthi.
Please note Estilo is not as selling as its sibling, But if you like Estilo better than Wagon R, go ahead with it.

With your requirements no doubt, go for Wagon R. Its a good selling model and more spacious than Zen Estilo, resale value is better than Zen Estilo. As Benny indicated, since its from Maruti family, you dont need to much worry on maintenance and the spare part costs. Happy driving..

i own a zen estilo .i terms of milege,maintenance and resale both are same.personally i dont like the shape of wagon r and to be different i went for estilo.all the best

I have used a WagonR for the last 6 years.It gave me very satisfactory service.Recently,I replaced it with a new Zen Estillo and somehow I feel that the new Estillo is a better car in terms of fuel consumption as well as pickup with ac. on.The look is also more appealing.

WagonR, Zen Estilo & A-Star all the three uses same K-Series 1000CC engine. A-Start will be 20K extra, but interiror look is far better than even swift.

Just go for a test drive in all these three cars, than decide. The fuel effiency will be almost same in all the cars. Wagon-R will soon phase out in next 5 years I guess.

So re sale value for A-star will be more.

Think 1000 times before buying a new car, becuase used car values are dropping like anything. For example 3.5lac brand new car after 5-years you can sell for a maximum of 1.5lac.

Future is chaning buddy, now india is one of the largest car market in the world.

Since both the cars share the same engine & outdated when compared to i10 or the figo. Check out for i 10 or figo or the swift which have better resale values

From ur 2 choices, i suggest u to purchase Maruti Suzuki WagonR bcoz it gives u driving pleasure, good mileage, better performance, best resale value and low maintenance. Maruti Suzuki Zen Estilo has the same platform bt it also adds complaints with its name. so go for Maruti Suzuki WagonR Lxi or Vxi.
