Cars Q&A

Question
Hi. Serious Query for All Car Experts. I am driving Swift Petrol from last 3 years. Now I want to upgrade and willing to buy Entry Level Sedan. I want to buy Diesel Car - I short Listed - Ford Fiesta, Tata Indigo E-CS & Maruti Swift Dezire VDI. I don't prefer to go for Manza as I found very huge especially from back side. I don't have much parking space in my house. Basically I have also kept Dezire as last option because Its almost d same as Swift hatchback. I have heard lots about Indigo E-CS, but am afraid with maintenance cost, after sales service & driving pleasure. Please help me to decide Best Diesel Entry Level Sedan. My Priorities are - Smooth Driving, Good Mileage, Low maintenance cost, Good After Sales Service & Decent Resale after next 3 to 4 years of use. (I am willing to spend 5.5 to 6.5 lakhs). Awaiting for Experts Comments & Reviews. Regards Arnav

If you want entry level then Ford Fiesta may not be the choice especially Diesel. Spares and maintenance will eat your pocket and the after sales service will also make you frustated. Resalewise also it won't fetch you more. You can think of Accent which will at least give you value for money in terms of space, drivability, maintenance but resale again may be a -ve for this old model which never says 'Dye'. Logan is much better choice but again spare parts may be an issue with number of vehicles on road in India. With your crieteria, my choices will be, Swift Dzire, Accent, Fiesta, Logan, Indigo E-CS

Hi,
Considering all your requirments, Indigo eCS would be a ideal selection.Advantages are the cost effectiveness, utility of sedan and reliability combined with build quality.
