Partially Abhijit you are correct. However its not the engine but other parts of the vehicle which would require replacement; as is the case in all vehicles.

CRDI & in general diesel engines are much tougher than the Petrol Variant's. From the engine side of view there wouldn't be much worry. The fuel injector is the one component (from a diesel engine perspective) would required to be overhauled.

However, on other front's its a different story; you may if its not already replaced might have to re-do the suspension; wheel bearings, disc's if they havn't recently been replaced;

AC (mostly a gas refilling should be sufficient), PS Motor - to name a few areas which might require a closer inspection

From a financial perspective; u may expect to invest 1.3-2.5L on a CRDI Accent which has been driven for over 80K kms... Anything over that is not worth it; since just around the corner u may have expenses lined up for another 1L. This goes for buying any car done over 80K specially ones which are over 4 years old- specially if its to be used for residential usage

yes there is a chance that accent crdi engines needs an overhaul after ilac kms ,the spares are costly but on the other side crdi is a pleasure to drive beats many petrol cars in its range.

Yes it has problem.after 1lakh km the crdi engine must be rebored.There won't be pickup.It won't start start at mornings.it is only 3 cylinder it is failiure.It will release oil directly through silencer

I own a 2003 petrol accent which has covered close to 80k kms. And its fun to drive till date. Old is gold. I can connect to it while driving. As with my gypsy. Rest is history.
