hai sir,... im planning to buy a car,preferably hatch,within a budget of 5 lacs. is it true that diesel engines have very high maintainence cost? cant it be compensated by their low running costs? Is figo petrol model less economical? Which cars are tough built ones? Ford or maruti? Does ford have that front impact beams, unlike maruti cars?

Hi,
With diesel engine cars the initial investment would behigher by app 1 lakh. Though there is saving in cost per litre, initial investment and slightly higher maintenance cost.
