The Palio is an excellent choice as a used car as it is a solidly built car and even used cars feel like almost new as against brands like hyundai whose cars have a very light built in the interest of slightly better economy.Stay away from tata cars as tata cars invariably have niggling troubles which is irritating to say the least. With the kind of running that you have a petrol makes more sense.Try and find a 1.2 ELX which will be fully loaded with power windows, steering, central locking etc. When buying ask for the complete service history of the car otherwise take the car to a good mechanic and have him check the car thoroughly.

Hi,
Fiat Palio of 2006canbe bought for around 1.7 Lakh. However alternatively recommended to check for Indica Xeta for its availability, reliability ,interiro space and service network.

My advice to you is, go for a new car. Since you are going to buy a car first time. if you buy new car at least for three to four years you need not to go to machanic. There will be nominal maintenance cost.fiat palio's part are not availabe and every time you will have to go to the company workshop and they charge very high.
keeping in view your budget better you buy Maruti Alto with a little more investment or take 80 thousand loan and pay in easy instalments.

Stay away from Fiat Palio since it's not in production soon.and the maintance and spare parts are so costly.Better go for if you are first time buyer .. Alto or santro.

Indica Xeta is the best one.

Within your budget, you can opt for good condition second hand cars i.e Alto, santro, ford ikon 1.6, ikon 1.3, Accent, fiat palio.

best vehicles to choose from are accent, santro or ford ikon 1.6. Please do not opt for second hand diesel vehicle, it will add to your misfortune. If diesel is your choise, opt for first hand diesel vehicle.

Second hand vehicle are ofcourse a best choice provided you ensure thorough checkup before buy.
