hi mr shiva and users, i wanna buy skoda fabia should i go for petrol or deseal and also I have concern about its maintenanace, mileage and resale value, pls suggest. regards subhash

If you drive more than 2000Km per month then choose Diesel, if less than 2000km then go for Petrol. Mileage is not a problem with Skoda cars. Maintenance and spares are heavy with Skoda compared with Hyundai or Maruti. Skoda Fabia will not fetch you much resale value like Swift or i20.

As mentioned by Vinoth advantage of Fabia is the comfort,reliability and brand value. If maintenance and mileage is the main criteria then Hyundai i20 or Punto Emotion would be ideal selection.If using regularly fo rlong drives then its worth going for diesel .Otherwise petrol version will be useful.
