Cars Q&A

Question
I have Indica Xeta (Petrol). Recently the Resistence (Which is connected with the Fan / Radiator) and activates the fan at a specified temp. got worn out. Now we have directly connected the Fan with the Battery so the Fan is always On while the vehicle is running. Because of this the Temp. needle never rises above 10 % of the total meter. previously it used to be stable at 50 %. Can there be any problem to the engine because of this ? What is the optimum temperature which is required for an engine to run ?

Hi,
It is better to make the fan run only when overheating is there . By making it direct , there would be excessive cooling which reduces performance. As stable 50 percent temperature is good enough to run the car. Overcooling of engine is also not advisable .
