I am a retired senior citizen from Vizag with cardiac problem recently resettled fm Delhi looking for a self start light scooter for daily needs and a hatch back for travelling to city. Outside city use is very rare. Since am not a pensioner, have to use finances economically. Pl advise whether to buy new or used ones. Usage will be around 2-3K.

I would suggest you buy a Hero Honda Pleasure or Suzuki Access brand new, and buy a trouble free used(petrol) hatchback. Best buy would be Hyundai Santro, Maruti Zen(MPFI), Maruti Wagon-R. You can get any of these for around 1.8-2.3 lakhs in excellent condition.

Hi,
For the usage mentioned You can go for a new Suzuki Access and for hatchback a used Maruti Suzuki 800 would be optimum selection.
