I am planning to Buy a Dec 2003 made, 1,44,000 km run, Hyundai accent CRDI. What is the best purchase price. Also I have been told that CRDI engine is problematic after 1,00,000 km. The injector will start giving problem & replacement will cost 45000Rs. Is this true. What is the life of engine for a CRDI engine 2003 make. My usage is about 15,000 to 20,000 kms a year & normally I drive 120 km in one streatch once or twice a month.

Answers:

Better avoid Hyundai Accent Crdi as it has done more than one lakh KM, Try to buy any Diesel in the range of 40000 to 60000 Km run. Accent Diesel is a 3 Cylinder Diesel Engine and may create some problem, currently Accent Diesel is out of production and you may face problem in getting spare parts.

Considering the usage of 1.44 lakh km the maintenance cost would be on higher side. However with maintennace as per schedule you can expect good service for another 50K KM.
