Hi All, I have planned to book Volkswagen Polo Diesel Trendline version in Bangalore. The price details are 5,46818 (ex showsroom)+19831(Insurance)+84210(Lifetime Tax)+6000(handling charges)=656859. Here my doubt is Lifetax tax is not adhere with Karnataka RTO rul (As per I know it is 13% if ex showroom price is above 5 lakhs, i.e. 71086 Rs). Can any one suggest why 13K difference here? What are the other taxes in Bangalore? I asked sales person to split Tax, He refused, He mentions that some import taxes are applied since it it a German made? I am confused. If I register my vehicle in home town which in Udupi district in Karnataka, Can I save some money? If so is there any legal issues? Please suggest me.
