I have brought my bike from gujarat to maharastra. My Bike is registered with GJ and i am using it in Pune. The traffic cops have caught my bike and are imposing fine saying the bike should be brought with NOC from gujarat and then again registered in Maharastra. My all papers are clear, is there any such rules that we should obtain NOC from Previous state and then again registered with Maharastra state. Please help.

Hi,
For transfering of registration getting NOC from previous RTO is important.You can get the same from previous RTO and submit in the RTO of resident region.If yu have applied for transfer of registration thenthe acknowledgement would solve the purpose till process is completed.

FOR LONG TIME U CANT DRIVE UR VEHICLES IN OTHER STATES , SO ABOVE FORMALITY IS MUST . OR SALE UR BIKE IN GUJ. AND BUY IN PUNE MH REGN. OR MANY DEALERS WILL EXCHANGE WITH UR BIKE AGAINST MH BIKES IT WILL BE BETTER FOR U BECAUSE UR OLD BIKE RE REGN CHARGE WILL BE NEAR 7000.

Actually I have moved to Andhra Pradesh now with a 2 wheeler vehicle from Gujarat. I dont have the NOC. Also now I have no contacts in Gujarat. is it possible to apply and get the NOC without travelling back to Gujarat??
