I own a Santro Zing.In the dashboard there is is a digital indicator which blinks when the petrol level is about to be very low. There is an analog fuel meter is also available. The electronic indicator glows for a while and turns automatically off. After certain distance of travel it glows continuously. what is the meaning for this?. I calculate the fuel economy of my car by observing distance covered in between two consecutive odo meter reading when the electronic meter glows. is this a correct method?

Hi,
The warnin light indicated the necessity of filling of petrol. When there is sufficient light gets on and off and when its near to empty light glows continuously indicating urgency of filling. Observing mileage done onbasis of odometer reading is correct method as you can get the near to acurate readings.do not consider light getting on off.
