Your opel astra is too old and replacement of AC would be very expensive considering the value of the 1997 model which would not be more than Rs30,000/-Therefore forget replacing the AC with new AC unit. You can get an old AC of OPEL ASTRA CAR in good working condition from the Car scrap dealers(Old car salvage)at LBS MARG(NEAR KALPANA TALKIES)CST ROAD KURLA MUMBAI.It should not cost you more than Rs5000/-(Upper limit) The best option is to dispose off this car.The choice is yours.darshan dhawan

THE GUY IS NOT BLUFFING THE VALUE OF THE OPEL ASTRA 1997 IS NOT MORE THAN 35000.IT IS BETTER TO DISPOSE OFF THE CAR THE SPARES ARE NOT AVAILABLE AND VERY EXPENSIVE.I SOLD ONE OF MY OPEL ASTRA IN 2005 FOR 90000 WHICH WAS 2001 MODEL IN GOOD CONDITION AND VIP NO.IF INSIST GO FOR SPECIFIC PARTS AS MENTIONED AND TRY WITH SCRAP DEALERS

Why should any body bluff or undervalue some one's property.Let the owner of the car place his car in "OPEN CAR BAZAR" & have its value assessed.He will know it instantly. As far MHSHRIFF'S requirement of old Opel Astra cars is concerned, he will get a plenty of them in DELHI,MUMBAI,CHENNAI AND BANGALORE at a nominal price ranging between Rs 30,000 to 1.50 lacs depending upon the model and condition of the Car.I can even offer him my own OPEL ASTRA CAR Mid-2000 model in good running condition for 1.25Lacs. Interested ? come-on take it.
