Mahindra has just launched their new fully-electric Verito sedan in India. This is the carmaker's second EV for the Indian market and is offered in three variants - D2, D4 and D6. We have explained the three variants in detail to give you an idea of which variant you should be opting for. Take a look.

      D2 variant Rs 9.50 lakh

This trim gets standard steel rims instead of alloy wheels and misses out on the 2-DIN infotainment system and remote lock and keyless entry. Apart from fast charging technology, all the other comfort and convenience equipment is similar to the other variants.

      D4 variant Rs 9.75 lakh

The second to base D4 variant also misses out on the fast charging feature. This version gets circular knit upholstery instead of the woven jacquard one in the base version. The front grille gets a chrome bottom bezel missing on the D2 trim. The side body cladding is body coloured and the car rides on alloy wheels.

      D6 variant Rs 10 lakh

The range-topping D6 trim comes loaded with all the features from the D2 and D4 version. This trim is fast-charging ready, it allows to quickly recharge when you are about to run out of juice. The fast charging technology charges the lithium-ion battery to up to 80 per cent within 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Sadly, Mahindra is not offering airbags and ABS even as an optional feature. All variants get the 200Ah battery coupled to a motor producing 41bhp of power and 91Nm of torque. This is mated to a single speed automatic transmission with hill hold system. All trims get the forward/boost mode, revive and telematics feature. So, we would have recommended the D4 variant as it gets almost the same features as the D6. However, the fast charging option is an important one and has its advantages. Since it is offered only on the D6 trim, we think this top-of-the-line variant will be worth the money over other base variants.
